FRIENDS & the PTA
SIES is lucky to have two parent organizations that work hand in hand. The short version: PTA creates the experience. FRIENDS creates the impact.
What the PTA does
The PTA brings the community and energy — teacher appreciation, community events, and the social fabric of the school.
What FRIENDS does
FRIENDS provides the funding and lasting impact — paying for the teachers, programs, science labs, aquarium, garden, arts, and student-support services that the district budget doesn't cover.
Better together
The two complement each other everywhere you look. At the Fun Run, the PTA brings the energy and community; FRIENDS drives the fundraising and impact. Two groups. One amazing school. Together, we make a difference.
